Job Description
Senior Engineer (Drainage) to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team
Responsible for leading the delivery of drainage designs for infrastructure projects, including highways, active travel, greenways, renewable energy and urban development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design of drainage networks, ponds, attenuation and SuDs
Lead hydrological and flood risk assessment for various sites
Work with modelling software such as Info Drainage, Micro Drainage, Causeway Flow and/or Autodesk Storm and Sewer
Plan and manage CAD documentation with CAD Technicians
Work with other Engineers, Ecologists and Scientists within FT
Supervise and monitor junior staff
Prepare technical reports, tender and proposal documents
Attend onsite meetings with clients and other professionals
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering
7 years post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering
Chartered Engineer status or in process of achieving
Experienced in design of highway drainage systems including SuDs
Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Excellent communication, management, analytical and organisational skills
Experience working with technical specialists and engineers
Ability to work in a team and on own initiative
Prepared to travel for site visits and client meetings
Full Driver's Licence
