Job Description
Senior Engineer (Drainage) - Join our Sustainable Infrastructure team in Cork, Dublin or Carlow. Key responsibilities include leading drainage designs, conducting hydrological assessments, and supervising junior staff. A Chartered Engineer or equivalent qualification and experience in highway drainage systems are required. Additional requirements include strong communication and management skills, proficiency in Auto CAD, and a full driving license. An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of drainage designs for infrastructure projects
- Conducting hydrological and flood risk assessments
- Designing drainage networks, ponds, attenuation, and SuDs
- Managing CAD documentation and supervising junior staff
- Preparing technical reports and attending onsite meetings
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7 years post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status, or in the process of achieving Chartered status
- Experienced in the design of highway drainage systems, including SuDs
- Familiarity with Auto CAD and Auto CAD Civil 3D
- Excellent communication, management, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to adapt to new procedures and systems quickly
- Full driving license
