Job Description

Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, and Energy and Planning. FT provides planning, environmental studies, preliminary planning design to our clients in the renewable energy sector and provides design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, greenways, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.FT is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer who will work as an integral member of the Energy team in the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the Energy and Planning business and working closely with fellow professionals. This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the Energy and Planning sector including, but not limited to, project management, environmental assessment and preliminary design for renewable energy projects.FT's ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the clientPlanning and managing CAD documentation of design work, working closely with Project Engineers and Engineering TechniciansAttend onsite meetings with the client and other professionalsEnsure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management SystemsEnsure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislationCoordinating his/her work with other members of the project teamSkills / QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering7 years post-graduate experienceChartered Engineer statusExperience in Project Managing the preliminary civil design of renewable energy projects is desirable but not mandatoryCandidate should be a high-energy professionalExcellent communication, organisation and analytical skills requiredExperience of engaging with external stakeholders, clients and sub-contractorsFlexible and a good team playerWorks efficiently and on own initiativeAn attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate including a competitive salary, shorter working Friday, medical benefit, hybrid working and professional body support.
