Senior Engineer (Residential) Cork City
Circa €75k+ benefits package
Our client is a leading residential developer undertaking a large apartment and housing project in Cork.
They require a Senior Engineer to oversee the project's technical aspects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Health and Safety on the project
- Reviewing and commenting on design drawings and raising RFIs as necessary
- Participating in Design Team Meetings and ensuring design documents are up-to-date
- Communicating technical submittals to trade and finishing teams
- Managing subcontractors and service providers to meet testing and commissioning timelines
- Monitoring and evaluating quality control of subcontractor work and suppliers
- Ensuring works comply with Building Regulations, design documents, and applicable standards
- Inspecting works on site, recording, and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Leading technical submittals, benchmarks, and inspection management
- Implementing DMS (zutec) and BCAR compliance
- Coordinating site drawings and maintaining site records and quality assurance documentation
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors to deliver desired outputs
- Leading Temporary Works Management on the project
- Managing third-party stakeholders, including Irish Water, ESB, and local authorities
- Driving efficiencies through value engineering solutions
- Managing direct reports and providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring
- Chairing site and construction team meetings
