Senior Engineer Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer for their Strategic Projects team in Dublin. Our Client's Strategic Projects division operates within the Energy/Decolonisation Retrofit, Re-purposing, and Refurbishment sectors. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on engineering experience and utilise this expertise to lead and enhance the capability of an already established team. This individual will provide mentoring, structure, and guidance by leading through example. Previous leadership and mentoring experience is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review detailed technical designs for strategic projects, including calculations, drawings, risk assessments, and design certificates. Propose and develop value-engineered alternative solutions during both tender and construction phases. Provide technical solutions, guidance, and mentoring to an established engineering team. Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, the technical office team, and suppliers. Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and standards for technical design. Requirements: A third-level qualification in structural, civil, or design engineering. Previous experience mentoring and managing teams. A comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with underground services and the necessary control procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Competence in using digital information systems, such as A-Site and Viewpoint for Projects. Significant experience in the design management process. Broad technical expertise in areas including piling, geotechnical work, substructures (including waterproofing), superstructures, facades, intricate internal works, and basic mechanical and electrical systems.
