We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Engineer to join our high performing team. REPORTING TO:Site Manager LOCATION: Based in Dublin, Ireland. Candidates from NI are welcome to apply but must be willing to commute. CONTRACT TYPE: FULL-TIME HOURS: Monday Friday Role Responsibilities Support the Site Manager in helping to lead the construction of the allocated project. Build strong working relationships with the Engineering team and sub-contractors. Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales. Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially Quantity Surveyors and the overall Project Manager. Engage all members of the project team to ensure projects are delivered on time. Liaising with the Commercial team and other internal stakeholders as and when required. Assisting in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity. Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc. Providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered. Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks ensuring that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. Ensuring workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out. Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the works. Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly. Supervising the work of all subcontracting firms carrying out works on site. Engaging and liaising with utility providers / co-ordinating on site, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies. Preparing site reports and all other required documentation. Taking a proactive approach to managing Health and Safety on site. Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to at all times. Coordinating and supervising temporary works as required. Implementing a regime of test and inspection plans for all works on site. The Candidate Qualifications & Experience: A higher-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. 5-10 years experience in a Site Engineer/Site Management role on construction projects, with a proven track record on large scale projects, with heavy civils experience. Skills & Attributes: Possess in-depth knowledge of Irish/UK construction standards. Ability to liaise with Commercial & Contracts team when dealing with internal stakeholders and clients representatives while on site, including attendance at meetings. Technically competent. Demonstrable commercial awareness.
