Job Description

Senior EngineerDublin West€75-85k + PackageRequired for leading International contractor working on large data center projects. The Senior Engineer will manage the engineering function as the senior representative, co-ordinates with the line manager and provides Engineering Leadership for their respectiveproject.RoleSupervision of Setting out and onsite control, along with the (Engineer/Assistant Engineer) and subordinates/supply chain.Primary point of reference for QA, record keeping and production ensuring the establishment and maintenance of the Quality procedures and requirements.Temporary Works Control/Co-ordination and where required actively manages lifting operations.ResponsibilitiesCompetent and demonstrates advanced awareness in the best forms of dimensional controlEnsures that site and graduate engineers take responsibility for the management of surveyequipmentEnsures that the engineering team completes as-built surveys for key elements. Understands keytolerances and can analyse details across a number of interfaces to highlight potential problemsCompletes an individual daily diaryCompetent in the principles of quality control for the majority of packages. Can review and createHas a good awareness of the project specifications, in particular tolerances for vertical andhorizontal structural elementsUnderstands the cost of defects and remedial works.Can review and create method statements and risk assessmentsIdentifies where information is missing and has an excellent working knowledge of the project RFIprocessTemporary Works procedures are implemented for both direct and subcontracted worksUndertakes the role of Project Lifting Operations Appointed Person (When appointed)Constantly provides information to the project planner to allow programmes to be updated orupdates them personallyProvides assistance and more often than not leads site and graduate engineers, demonstrating bestpractice at all timesWorks collaboratively with other and sub-contractors’ engineers, utilising their experience at alltimesDevelops consents schedules and understands the key parties.Takes responsibility for ground validation reports to fulfil planning obligationsDevelops the project logistics plan and has input into establishing the programme to completionUnderstand outputs for various trades, highlighting where trades are falling behind programme orunder resourcedCan work and lead where necessary engineering teams of various sizes and abilitiesPoint of contact for technical, temporary works and lifting operations audits.Responsible forensuring that all actions are closed within a suitable timeframeRequirementsCompetent in the use of digital information systems i.e. A-Site, Viewpoint for ProjectsSignificant experience in the design management processTemporary Works Co-ordinator trainingLifting Operations basic awareness courseTo register your interest Please forward CV to john.behan@icds.ie or call 01-6323-1200 to discuss. #J-18808-Ljbffr
