Job Description

We are seeking a Process Automation Engineer to provide automation support for process equipment and work closely with various disciplines to design, develop, and implement automation systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operation's support for automated equipment and skid vendor proprietary equipment.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for automated system design, development, installation, testing, validation, and support.
  • Design and develop programmable logic controller (PLC) automation system software, including sequence logic, graphics, and human-machine interface (HMI) systems.
  • Maintain the validated state of logistics automated systems, including development and execution of validation strategies and associated documentation.
  • Promote the use of automation to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other job aids to ensure the appropriate level of documentation.

Requirements:

  • 5 years working experience in Biopharma engineering, operations, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC/HMI configuration, industrial communication protocols, and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in and facilitate decision-making, with strong problem-solving skills and a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and influence peers and business partners.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 years + as a controls engineer in a highly automated environment supporting various PLC related control systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation.
  • Experience of designing, coding, and testing with Siemens PLCs, as well as knowledge of pick and place equipment and logistic/warehouse automation systems.
