Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture for Europe, the Enterprise Data Architecture role will play a pivotal role in this acceleration across all European businesses. The development and rollout of standards, principles and frameworks and to establish an Enterprise Architecture framework is key to this role. What you will help us to achieve 1. Partner with a diverse team of senior business and technology professionals across Europe to understand the various business entities vision and objectives and translate these into the overall technology strategic direction and roadmap. 2. Development and enforce the European Technology Data Strategy, as well as the associated Enterprise Architecture Standards, Principles and Frameworks, through close collaboration with the wider architecture and design teams. 3. Lead community of practice within area of expertise and be a key part of the wider communities of practice across all technology areas. 4. Work with Business Leaders and the wider Enterprise Architecture community to generate understanding and excitement around the transformative opportunities available through brining a data-led approach to Architecture, Design and Engineering. 5. Evolving and promoting new ways of working and emerging technologies across the organization. 6. Devise appropriate multi-phase roadmaps and implementation plans to advance European business strategies. 7. Promote the adoption of new technologies implemented across Europe through change management (in conjunction with local change management units) 8. Promote a culture of innovation and related practices and use of emerging technologies across the organization, working closely with local and shared delivery groups. 9. Key contributor to the European Technology annual planning and budgeting process and oversight of significant IT budgets. What you will need to be successful in the role Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Extensive experience in developing and implementing Enterprise IT Architecture in large, complex organizations, preferably across multiple geographies. - Over 10 years of experience leading Data Architecture initiatives and delivering major data platform projects. - Strong understanding of contemporary data architecture, including data streaming, event-driven architecture, and modern cloud data platforms. - Working knowledge of modern data engineering practices, including data pipelines, data tooling, and MLOps. - Proven ability to work effectively within formal project management methodologies. - Professional Enterprise technology certification in software development, infrastructure, or applications. - Expert-level knowledge of IT Enterprise Architecture. - Experience in environments with Board and regulatory oversight. - Excellent commercial acumen, translating business objectives into IT strategy and implementation. - Proven leadership skills, fostering inclusive and high-performing cultures. - Direct experience with financial management, including budgeting and forecasting. - Experienced Change Agent, leading organizations through strategic change and innovation. - Strong knowledge of data security across the entire data lifecycle. - Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a technology-related field; Master's Degree is a plus.
