Job Summary: We seek a skilled Estimator to join our team in Cork City, contributing to prestigious construction projects across various sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.


• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately estimate project costs.


• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and strategies to optimize project budgets.


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards.


• Participate in tendering processes, including preparing and submitting tender documentation.


• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.


• Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cost plans, and risk assessments.


• Provide detailed reports and presentations to senior management on cost estimates, budget forecasts, and project profitability.

• Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably with a Tier One Main Contractor.


• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.


• Proficient in estimation software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.


• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.


• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics.


• Professional accreditation with SCSI, RICS, or equivalent is advantageous.
