Job Description

The Vacancy: Sr. Financial Analyst needed to support the expansion of our Americas business unit, helping to execute on our ambitious growth strategy. The role will focus on both our existing American entities as well as newly acquired businesses. The IRIS Group is highly acquisitive, with further plans for significant M&A activity in the Americas. This role will work with these business units to improve their reporting, forecasting and analysis as they integrate into the group. Responsibilities include partnering with Americas senior management as well as Managing Directors of acquired businesses to produce decision support, business insights, financial reporting, and to track performance against M&A investment cases. This role is ideally suited for someone who likes to operate in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with change, and is excellent at managing priorities to meet deadlines. As a key role within the Finance team, IRIS is looking for an individual with strong Excel modeling skills, has a solid understanding of systems and data manipulation, along with an inquisitive approach to management reporting. Although we’ve been in the UK accounting market for over 40 years, our North American story began in 2019, when we acquired IRIS Practice Engine Systems, a pioneering cloud-based practice management software company based in the US. In the same year, we broadened our practice management offering further with IRIS Star Practice Management, leaders in advanced practice management solutions to CPA firms in the US, Canada, and Caribbean Islands. Since then, we’ve continued to build our business in North America, providing solutions to half of the top 100 CPA firms, focused on improving productivity and processes, freeing up their time to deliver real value-add services to customers. The Group is targeting 33% of revenues coming from the Americas in FY25 achieved through both organic growth and acquisitions. Responsibilities: -Support Americas growth plan for both organic growth and newly acquired entities -Month-end reporting, variance analysis, and loading results to the Global Financial Management system for consolidation -Prepare monthly forecasts for multiple entities in the Americas -Assist in the preparation of annual budget and with long-term strategic planning -Understand and monitor performance against investment cases -Provide support and leadership in areas such as the development of business cases, professional services utilization, and product/customer profitability -Adapt reporting to meet evolving business requirements -Build relationships with other functions and with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration across the business -Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Ad-hoc projects and analysis as required Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field -3 years of experience working as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role -Software industry or managed payroll service experience preferred Please note: We occasionally close vacancies early in the event that we receive a high volume of applications.
