Job Description

Position Description To deliver optimum utilisation of Finance Systems and promote process best practice within systems. Key Responsibilities Supports ongoing enhancements to finance SAP systems. Resolves complex queries and issues with Finance Operations / FP&A, RTP and other business users and SAP specialists. Works on improvement and upgrade projects Develops and delivers systems training workshops with Process Owners and end users Develops and maintains strong relationships with Finance Process Owners and teams, IT and BU Finance stakeholders Co-ordinates and performs system testing as required Responsible for full functional support for Performance Management reports (assess and scope impact and testing required for changes, system upgrades etc., perform unit, SIT testing and sometimes user acceptance and regression testing, resolve user queries and issues) Experience and Qualifications Essential A recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent relevant work experience Experience in SAP (Financial Accounting, Controlling and Project System Modules desired) S/4 Hana experience Systematic problem solver, ability to implement solutions and to solve root cause of problems Excellent understanding of end-to-end financial processes and systems Knowledge of IT developments & evolving best practice Strong stakeholder management skills Highly motivated - able to work on own initiative and as part of a team Good communications and interpersonal skills Desirable SAP GRC experience with knowledge on GRC risk management an advantage Location This position will be based in ESB's Head Office at Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2 ESB is committed to smart working - combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working.
