Job Description
Financial Reporting Specialist sought to lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and review periodic management accounts and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Review and supervise reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Mentor, supervise and develop junior accounting staff.
Typical Duties:
- Prepare and analyze monthly reporting and compile finance presentation for Board reporting.
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and involvement in preparation of tax returns.
- Oversee the implementation of new accounting standards and policies.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends in discussion with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- ACA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- 4+ years PQE.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial modelling, and experience with Power BI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing financial regulations and business environments.
