Job Description
My client is seeking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role is ideal for a qualified accountant aiming to progress to a Finance Manager position in the short to medium term.
The company operates in a high-growth, international sector and is headquartered in Ireland, with a finance team of 20 professionals.
Duties:
- Compile and review management accounts
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Review and supervise reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls
- Mentor, supervise, and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support
- Prepare and analyze monthly reporting
- Compile finance presentations for Board reporting
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and involvement in preparation of tax returns
- Oversee the implementation of new accounting standards and policies
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends

- Qualified Accountant
