Senior Financial Accountant
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations of the business and transport operators, managing working capital, and preparing and presenting financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and KPIs for management and stakeholders
- Prepare financial analysis and provide reporting expertise and financial support
- Support the annual budget process and consolidation of inputs from various stakeholders
- Deliver and enhance daily working capital management and processes
- Complete weekly, monthly, and annual controls and assist in the development and enhancement of control procedures and matrices
- Ensure efficiency and timeliness in business banking operations
- Support and contribute to financial system transitions across all business sections
- Ensure high-quality and up-to-date procedure documents are maintained
- Support the finance manager and leadership team
- Manage queries from stakeholders in a timely manner
- Support and lead team cross-training and project leading on process improvement and enhancement
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
- Experience of a PLC, audit, or GDPR environment is desirable
- Technical skills: accounting qualification, sound grasp of Irish GAAP and/or IFRS, financial accounting, and business awareness
- Highly numerate with a sound grasp of Excel and a natural interest in using it to help clients
