Job Description
This leading PLC is looking to hire a proactive, self-motivated and collaborative individual to work as senior financial accountant. The individual will join a team of four employees in the Dublin office, based in Dublin City Centre, and report to the group controller. Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements Assist with the creation of the management accounts provided to management and the board of directors Liaise directly with auditors in relation to queries raised and respond to audit requests in a timely manner Perform analytical reviews of account balances and create balance sheet reconciliations Calculate and post month end journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation Assist in the production of budgets and forecasts and analyse the company's performance against these Take ownership of local statutory reporting, including account preparation and management of the audit processes Identify and implement improvements to the company's controls and systems, including assisting with ongoing projects Together with the tax manager ensure tax compliance in all countries of operation Key Attributes / Qualifications: Energetic, with a high level of initiative, along with the ability to prioritise workload Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Fully qualified accountant, preferably ACA, with at least 1 year PQE Strong technical skills in accounting Ability to work on own initiative and take ownership of work.
