SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT Celtic Careershas partnered with an established and growing technical company, headquartered in Ireland, and delivering services throughout Europe. Our client is currently hiring a qualified a Senior Financial Accountant 4 years post qualification experience. THIS ROLE REQUIRES THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO BE FULLY OFFICE BASED 5 DAYS PER WEEK Location West Dublin Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Compile and review management accounts and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and quality information. Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Account Reconciliation: Review and supervise reconciliations of general ledger accounts. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws and regulations Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure ongoing vigilance around control environment Team Supervision: Mentor, supervise and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support. Typical Duties Preparing and analyzing monthly reporting and compiling of finance presentation for Board reporting. Managing the preparation of statutory accounts and involvement in preparation of tax returns. Overseeing the implementation of new accounting standards and policies. Conducting variance analysis and identifying trends in discussion with key stakeholders. Requirements ACA or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial modelling, and experience with Power BI Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team Ability to adapt to changing financial regulations and business environments. Ability to think strategically and contribute to overall finance function Self-starter requiring minimal supervision Our client requires candidates seeking a role in a challenging environment.
