We're in search of a driven and meticulous individual to join a busy manufacturing company in Shannon, Clare as a Senior Financial Accountant, to support this finance team during a critical 3-month period. This role is perfect for someone with significant accounting experience, ideally in the manufacturing sector, who is looking to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to take responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting and month-end close processes. They will be tasked with preparing timely and accurate financial statements, managing the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards. Your role will involve leading the month-end close, posting journal entries, handling accruals, and performing balance sheet reconciliations. You will also provide detailed cost analysis, helping management better understand manufacturing costs and operational performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, driving process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and controls. Your Profile The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA) with at least 3 years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems is essential/ You must be detail-oriented, with excellent analytical skills, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are important, as you will be working both independently and collaboratively with other departments.
