Senior Financial Accountant role in Cork City, supporting financial operations across multiple regions, including Ireland, the US, and the UK, with a dynamic and growing company in the retail industry.
Morgan McKinley is working with a company that values growth, innovation, and excellence, seeking a fully qualified accountant with 2+ years post-qualification experience to play a crucial role in supporting financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Profitability Analysis: Conduct analysis on profitability, margins, and cost management to support business decisions.
- Month-End Close: Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes in collaboration with other departments.
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports for management and stakeholders, including investors.
- Reconciliations: Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, addressing any discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to support financial needs and provide cross-functional assistance as needed.
- Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual audit.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and good technical skills.
