Job Description

Senior Financial Accountant sought to provide technical accounting and advisory services to the Group's US GAAP and IFRS accounting function, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide practical advice and solutions to complex accounting issues.

We are seeking a highly ambitious candidate to rapidly progress their skill-set and career in a high-performing team. As a key member of the Technical Accounting and Advisory team, you will report to the Senior Manager and work closely with colleagues globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting research and analysis of new transactions, business initiatives, and new accounting pronouncements, documenting the appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Assist in the accounting and reporting of technical areas such as goodwill and intangibles, derivatives, pensions, share-based compensation, financing transactions, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Coordinate the annual audit and quarterly review activities performed by external auditors, ensuring SEC and statutory filings are accurate and compliant.
  • Maintain, document, and improve the company's US GAAP compliant accounting policies and procedures at global and divisional levels.
  • Manage and monitor global statutory financial statement filings under multiple accounting standards.
  • Review existing areas of critical accounting policies to ensure alignment among all divisions and deliver trainings as necessary.
  • Present accounting and US GAAP transition matters to various teams across the Group, Divisional, and operating companies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
  • Strong background and understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles, including preparation of financial statements
  • Technical accounting and advisory experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of leadership and departments within the company
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects in order to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality work
  • Experience of HFM and web-based financial reporting applications an advantage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications
  • Works with integrity and can be trusted to work on projects of a confidential nature
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team-environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20% Europe and International as required
