Job Description

Seeking a Senior Business Analyst to provide strategic business insights and drive improvements in OTC business analytics reporting.

Abbott's EMEA Finance Shared Services centre provides processing and expertise to divisions and affiliate companies across EMEA.

The core services are in Record to Report, Order to Cash, Source to Pay and Master data management.

The Financial Shared Services hub is part of Corporate Finance and has regional counterparts in the US and in Malaysia.

As a trusted Business Partner, you will translate data into strategic business insights and drive improvements in OTC business analytics reporting.

You will be accountable for business unit reporting across the EMEA OTC portfolio and assess the suitability and frequency of management reports and KPI's.

You will also be responsible for training the team to provide insightful and meaningful business narrative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all reports are issued as per target deadlines with high quality narrative and business insights.
  • Driving and managing improvements in the OTC business analytics reporting to ensure effective communication with report recipients.
  • Supporting the continued standardization of Business Unit and Divisional reporting, leveraging GPO data analytics initiatives.
  • Preparing end user training documentation to include high level process documentation, process-based user guides and job aids.
  • Providing guidance and feedback to the wider OTC team to help maximize potential and meet key accountabilities.
  • Liaising with OTC Director and OTC Managers to ensure that reporting is consistent with the EMEA CFS Hub customer experience strategy.
  • Identifying and sharing potential CI opportunities and findings arising from the business analytics information.
  • Partnering with RTR colleagues for assigned Month End close responsibilities.
  • Ensuring DTP's are completed, reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
  • Communicating with BU's, stakeholders and business partners with regard to key performance indicators, initiatives, etc.
  • Reporting on internal KPIs for the team including status, highlighting risk areas to management.

Minimum requirements include:

  • BS degree related to Finance, Business, or Accounting.
  • Qualified Accountant or part-qualified with a few papers left for completion.
  • Experience inclusive of all aspects of finance within a complex global organization.
  • Reporting performance between multiple Divisional/BU reporting.
  • FP&A background can be an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.
  • Previous experience preparing Presentations for Director level.
  • French language would be an added advantage but not required for the role.
  • Experienced in PowerBI Reporting.
  • SAP, SharePoint and other ERP experience required.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Controlling organizational structure.
