eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Palo Alto Firewall Engineer. This is a day rate contractposition located with our client in Dublin. Responsibilities: Firewall Design:Responsible for defining designs and rulesets on Palo Alto Firewall estate. This includes creation of High-Level Design, Low Level Design etc. Project Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, network engineers, system administrators, and developers, to ensure firewall requirements are met throughout project lifecycles. Incident Response Planning:Responsible for firewall input into technical incident response plans that outline the procedures and protocols to be followed in the event of a cybersecurity incident. This includes identifying potential threats, assessing risks, and outlining the actions to be taken during an incident. Manage cybersecurity incidents:Managing and responding to major cybersecurity incidents, working with the incident response team to contain the incident, mitigate the damage, and restore operations. Continuously improve firewall capabilities:Continuously monitor and improve firewall capabilities by staying up to date with emerging threats, technologies, and best practices. Support the Security Service function: As a firewall subject matter expert, assist and support the wider Security Services function. Operational Oversight:Provide oversight on operational activities conducted by firewall engineers including both internal and third-party (Managed Service Provider) engineers. Security Remediation Activities:Assisting in assessment on the firewall estate and for developing technical responses to penetration tests, security assessments, and vulnerability scan findings associated with the firewalls. Requirements: Relevant Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related area. Must have relevant Palo Alto firewall certifications. Relevant cybersecurity certifications. Experience working with third party vendors. 5+ years of experience in firewall design. Strong technical background in cybersecurity. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
