Senior Food Buyer Are you an experienced Food Buyer passionate about progression? Our client, a 100% Irish-owned national retailer is seeking an experienced Senior Food Buyer. In this exciting role, you'll lead the development and execution of a strategic plan that enhances food culture across the business. Package Generous salary €80-95k doe Bonus Pension Extremely flexible hybrid working Generous Annual Leave Staff Discount Free Parking Responsibilities for this Senior Buyer job include: Completing regular competitor and assortment analysis and product group comparisons. Continuously sourcing new suppliers, promoting product innovation, and ensuring a top-quality offering at the lowest possible price for our customers. Negotiating and building relationships with national and international suppliers. Develop a 'food first' strategy and develop, sign off, and implement the annual commercial plan for food leadership Oversee budgets and ensure payments are processed on time Tasting and conducting quality checks in consultation with the Quality Assurance department. Requirements for this Senior Buyer job include: 5 years' experience in a senior role in a retail / FMCG environment Strong understanding of the Irish food retail market Proven leadership, communication, and influencing skills Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen Experience in transformation programs Excellent written, and verbal communication and negotiation skills Aoife Clarke is handling the recruitment for this role in complete confidentiality.
