Job Description
Senior Formwork Designer or Formwork Designer sought to produce design solutions and material lists for efficient and safe use of Doka equipment.
Key responsibilities include developing technical solutions, collaborating with project teams, and communicating effectively with colleagues and customers.
Auto CAD drawings and material lists will be produced for proposals and actual jobsites, with a focus on safe, economical, and efficient designs.
Formal calculations will be independently produced for customer approval, and opportunities for developing efficiencies within the Engineering Department will be sought.
Qualifications include technical education in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, experience with Auto CAD 2D, and a minimum of 5 years formwork design experience.
Additional qualifications include experience with designing formwork for Heavy Civil Engineering and/or road and rail applications, knowledge of construction methods, and competencies in interpreting client drawings and design briefs.
Strong statics knowledge and frame analysis knowledge are preferred, as well as experience of checking other designers' work and a good understanding of health and safety and designing out risks.
Able to work independently and as a team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment, with a hands-on mentality and engaged personality.
