We are looking for a product-minded Frontend Engineer to join our talented team at the Fraud & Risk Management Research & Development Centre of Excellence in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clean, reusable, readable code with appropriate tests.
- Execute code reviews and peer review processes to ensure code quality and security practices.
- Triage product and systems issues, including debugging and monitoring.
- Research new technologies and evaluate their feasibility.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Utilize prototyping design tools to access and work directly with design assets.
- Produce and contribute to high-quality documentation.
- Participate in conversations and workshops with stakeholders to understand requirements and identify solutions and opportunities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in application development.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience.
- Experience working in the financial services, financial technology, and risk management industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of a selected programming language (e.g. Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, and SQL).
- Experience working with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React JS, Next JS).
- Experience working with state management libraries (e.g. Redux, Flux).
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and familiarity with Graph QL.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g. Postgre SQL, My SQL) and knowledge of No SQL databases (e.g. Mongo DB, Dynamo DB).
- Knowledge of micro frontend development patterns.
- Knowledge of UX best practices.
- Experience implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Additional Information:
This is a hybrid role, and employees are expected to be onsite at our Limerick City office on in-office days.
