Context The People function of Designer Group consist of 4 primary areas of activity: * People Partnering to the Business (country specific support/) * Talent Acquisition (Central Service Provision Unit) * Talent Development * People Operations (Central Service Provision Unit) The expansion of business overseas has created the need for greater in-house global mobility expertise. Designer Group has a workforce on assignment in a number of countries as part of our delivery to our clients and has several company entities employing a range of professionals. This requires knowledge of in-country registration, posted-workers registration, work permits and entry-visa processes as well as careful planning for the accommodation and settlement of employees The Role The Senior Global Mobility Partner will work with a range of stakeholders (Operational and Project Directors) , international tax colleagues and advisors, the DG Finance team and the wider People team to assess, plan and execute a range of processes necessary to assign and post existing staff and those hired locally as part of project teams. The role will be involved in identifying a range of vendors to assist with the in-country assignment of resources to various locations in Europe. The role holder will also work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to plan for all new hires into the project, managing right-to-work and residency registration processes. The Senior Global Mobility Partner will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner for ROI and International Projects, as well as the core project teams. Key responsibilities include: * Advise internal stakeholders on the planning implications and requirements of international assignments. * Mobility and Immigration Programme delivery - immigration case and compliance management, including reviewing immigration applications and appropriate documentation management. * Manage stakeholders with a diverse array of requests and questions, with a high degree of customer care. * Research and provide analysis of global mobility cases and apply local labour and employment requirements and regulations to each international mobilisation plan to ensure that local requirements are built into the project planning process. * Identify optimal solutions, policy gaps and process revisions necessary to assist with the implementation of new or revised assignments. * Provide support for day-to-day mobility challenges arising from redeployment or reallocation from existing to new projects. * Liaise with DG’s International Tax Manager and global tax advisors on tax compliance in the host country locations. * Review and prepare assignment documentation. * Collaborate with the International Tax Manager in respect of withholding obligations with respect to cross-border workers. * Ensure in-country time is tracked and recorded and keep internal systems updated. * Finalise assignment packages with the relevant Operational Director and the Senior HRBP. * Examine in-country vendor options for accommodation, car provision, staff set up requirements. Own these relationships and plan for accommodation to be in place prior to assignment. * Contribute to on-boarding plans, assignment packs, education materials, FAQs and guidance for each project. * Manage ongoing accommodation contracts/maintenance services. * Operate in accordance with DG’s Global Mobility Policy (and review as necessary). ➢ Be a Primary Point of Contact (POC) for assignees n the lead-up to deployment. * Work with the relevant People Partner and SHRBP during the settlement period in host country. * Line manage and delegate appropriately to the Mobilisation Co-ordinator. * Prepare and deliver presentation content to business leaders and assignees as part of the mobilisation plan. * Work collaboratively with the wider People team on People-related objectives, risks and engagement initiatives. * Report regularly to the Chief People Officer, Group MD and Senior Operational personnel. Knowledge/Qualifications and Experience * High capability to communicate (written and spoken) in English and right to work in Ireland are essential. * International experience in the assignment and EU posting of workers is also essential. * Critical thinking and organisation skills * Good employment law knowledge (specifically EU based) * Strong data integrity management * The ability to manage concurrent high priority initiatives * Attention to detail * Flexibility to follow through on a project and be responsive to tight deadlines is a must-have. * Ability to travel freely in Europe if required * A second language (German or Spanish) is desirable but not essential.
