Job Description
Senior Occupational Therapist required for a Full Time, Specified Purpose Contract at Bon Secours Hospital Cork, part of the Bon Secours Health System, Ireland's largest independent hospital group.
We treat over 200,000 patients annually and provide a service to various clinical specialties, including Acute Medical Care, Older Persons, General surgery, Neurology, Oncology and Palliative Care, Hand Therapy and Rheumatology.
The successful post holder will work in designated clinical specialties under the Occupational Therapist Manager's guidance.
Essential requirements:
- BSc (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent recognised and validated qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration
- Minimum 3 years experience in an acute setting or working with adults and older adults
Desirable requirements:
- Experience in Oncology & Palliative care, Care of the Older Person, Rheumatology & Hand Therapy, Acute Medical Care & Neurology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Proven clinical and organisational skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Membership of Association of Occupational Therapists Ireland or equivalent occupational therapy professional body
