About the RoleThe Grid Services Team plays an integral role in the development of Low Carbon and Net Zero generation by managing the Gas, Electrical, Transport and Storage (CO2 and H2) connections for the Low-Carbon Thermal portfolio across GB and Ireland. The team is responsible for developing and delivering the connections for Grid Code Compliant plant, ensuring that it remains connected for export to the Grid. We are also responsible for identifying additional revenue streams, such as Ancillary Services to the Grid.
The role of Senior Grid Services Engineer is to provide technical expertise in relation to electrical grid connections for operational Thermal assets as well as a portfolio of development projects. It is also responsible for the gas connection contracts working with the Thermal business to ensure the Transport and Storage connection contracts will be fit for purpose.
