Job Description
Senior health and safety advisor sought for Longford area role with leading contractor.
The company, a tier 1 main contractor with €450 million in annual revenue, prioritizes health and safety in the workplace and is looking for an experienced professional to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage emergency procedures and respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues
- Keep a focus on health and safety within the business
- Stay up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and industry developments
- Lead in-house training on health and safety issues and risks
- Outline safe operational procedures and communicate to all employees
- Keep records of inspections, findings, and incidents, and produce reports suggesting improvements
- Deliver Toolbox Talks and liaise with HSE, Fire Officers, and Environmental Health Officers
- Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being implemented and adhered to
Requirements:
- Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred)
- 3+ years in a similar role
- Previous construction experience
- IT Skills
- Ability to work well as a team and collaborate with others
