Senior health and safety advisor sought for Longford area role with leading contractor.
The company, a tier 1 main contractor with €450 million in revenue, prioritizes health and safety in the workplace.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing emergency procedures and responding to health and safety-related complaints or issues
- Keeping a focus on health and safety within the business
- Staying up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation
- Leading in-house training on health and safety issues and risks
- Outlining safe operational procedures and communicating to all employees
- Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports
- Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers
- Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
Requirements:
- Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred)
- 3+ years in similar role
- Previous construction experience
- IT Skills
- Ability to work well as a team and collaborate with others
