Job Description

The Client And Overview Of The Role We are looking for experienced and qualified Environmental Health and Safety Officers for 2no. Tier 1 Main Contractors with projects in the Dublin region. We have requirements for roles with both multi-site and single site responsibilities to look after the EHS agenda for industrial, educational, health care, sports, commercial and residential building projects. All positions are permanent and come with substantial benefits packages (including vehicle/allowances), on top of strong basic salaries, with most companies offering an annual bonus too. The role responsibilities will vary, depending on experience and Site but below is a rough idea of what the main responsibilities will include: Work closely with Site Management and Company Directors to ensure that EHS goals are maintained and/or exceeded. Carrying out safety inspections and producing RAMS for various tasks. Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Statement. Complete Safety Induction Training for all new staff on site and maintain site diary etc.. Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented. Identify training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time. Ensure that correct PPE is availed of at all times by those on-site. Review sub-contractors Safety Statements and Safety Compliance. Provide relevant accident information for insurance purposes. Attend and contribute to regular Health & Safety meetings. Requirements Degree Qualified in Health & Safety or similar. Being passionate about all things "EHS". Good attitude and personality. Ability to influence people. 2+ years experience within Health and Safety in a Construction Environment in Ireland, UK, Aus, Canada, US. What's on offer? Salary ranging from €50,000 - €90,000 (DOE). Holiday allowances up to 34 days inc. Bank Holidays. Subject to experience, a vehicle + fuel card/allowance can be provided straight away.
