Job Description Looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for an international insurance company based in Dublin city centre. Join a growing team in a company with huge plans for growth, Hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will hold a key role within the IT team. You will need to provide 3rd line BAU activities to over 250 users in across the company's many locations. There will be a need to design and deliver high-quality infrastructure projects and to work in a proactive and cooperative manner. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Provision of BAU Infrastructure support to internal stakeholders Ensure optimal availability and performance of critical infrastructure components and applications. Act as a key internal technical resource for major change projects Work closely with 3rd party vendors to ensure service provision and project delivery meet or exceed business expectations Act as an escalation point for complex support issues Be responsible for the overall health of the infrastructure Scope, design and implement new systems Produce and maintain high-quality system and project documentation Monitor incoming security threat alerts and act when required Provide regular feedback to the Head of Infrastructure for projects, incident management and change management Mentor and guide junior members of the team Work closely with other technology teams (internal and external), tech architects and business owners to refine requirements and translate business needs into IT solutions Work to ensure there is always an approach of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice Effective documentation of relevant tools and reports Work with the software teams as needed to ensure the technology environment requirements are known and are properly supported, fit for purpose, and kept up to date Create a supportive and rewarding working environment that aligns with the company culture as well as instilling a sense of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence in your team driving efficient processes and constantly push engineering best practice Monitor efficiency of resource use and efficiency of delivered systems Regular progress reporting, defining and reporting KPIs and key objective/result metrics including helping your team define, drive and achieve their objectives and key results Keep stakeholders up to date on all activities that affect their individual goals and be a point contact for work status Continual focus on long-term technology effectiveness, simplicity of solutions, and appropriate controls Estimate projects and tasks, working closely with technical and business teams as needed DESIRED EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 5+ years' experience in a similar technical role A mentality focused on strong customer service with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels Fluent in Agile/Scrum Strong motivational and people skills, helping team members to excel in a culture of collaboration and openness Excellent organization and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced enterprise-level environment Clear ability to run and manage processes efficiently, including change processes, aligning with other teams as needed Able to deliver objectives assigned to you with a strong sense of urgency Adaptable working in a heterogeneous IT environment Supporting and building a team culture of security, innovation, efficiency, accountability, and initiative, with a focus on process simplification and outcome delivery Work closely with technical leadership and peers to create product roadmaps, estimate work packages and set priorities for your teams Technical skills: Windows OS systems administration knowledge (Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019, Windows 10) Experience managing Windows domain environments at an advanced level (Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Service etc) Strong Azure, O365, and Exchange Online administration skills Endpoint Management Solution - SCCM Extensive experience working in a heavily virtualized environment (VMWare v6.5+ ideally) Previous experience administering and maintaining Storage Area Networks Basic SQL server administration Previous experience working on firewall, switch, or router administration (Palo Alto or Cisco Preferred) Good experience with application packaging and deployment Security Tools - Mimecast, Zscaler, BitDefender Mobile Device Management - Airwatch, InTune (MDM & MAM) Unified Communications - Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Experience setting up and maintaining desktop image deployment solutions Experience setting up and maintaining patch deployment solutions Demonstrable experience of working with an identity & access management solution (such as OneLogin, Duo, Okta, ADFS) #J-18808-Ljbffr
