Senior IT Engineer position available at a Global Biotech company in Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland. Salary up to €80,000.

A Global Biotech company with a site in Shannon, Co. Clare is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join their team.
About the Job:
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support for troubleshooting desktop and user-related issues.
- Deliver comprehensive technical assistance for the implementation of all manufacturing and laboratory systems on-site, collaborating with other relevant departments.
- Offer second and third-tier technical support to all sites for escalated Tier One IT issues, including file, print, hardware, network connectivity, and software errors.
- Keep an updated inventory of IT equipment and maintain the asset register.
- Manage vendor relationships concerning service level agreements, support tickets, and IT-related issues.
- Maintain documentation of software upgrades and newly installed computer equipment, ensuring proper recording and maintenance of software licenses.
- Actively participate in global teams to manage, update, and upgrade systems such as Active Directory, antivirus solutions, networks, application deployment, helpdesk, and infrastructure.
- Ensure continuous improvement culture in managing lifecycle and deploying hardware, software, and systems used on-site.
- Assist in the development and management of Microsoft Cloud Systems, such as MDM and Intune, as well as AAD and M365.
About the Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with ITIL processes (3+ years).
- Solid background or experience in Microsoft Systems, including Active Directory and LDAP (3+ years).
- Strong expertise in Networking Systems Administration (3+ years).
- Preferred experience with hybrid Azure and on-premises file servers, as well as Active Directory configuration.
- Microsoft Certifications of Cisco Qualifications (Highly advantageous)
- Experience working in a Gx P environment (Highly advantageous)
