Senior IT Support Engineer Contract | €260-€300/day | Cork A client of mine is looking for an experienced Senior IT Systems Engineer to join their team in Cork. This role involves providing high-level support and managing complex IT systems, with a focus on Windows and Microsoft environments. You will also lead key infrastructure projects while ensuring seamless system operations. Responsibilities: Provide Level 3 support for Windows-based environments and manage Active Directory, including user accounts and permissions. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated hardware, software, and network issues. Lead system upgrades, migrations, and other IT infrastructure projects. Document solutions and maintain accurate records of technical issues. Support virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in IT support roles Strong expertise in Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. Experience with Microsoft Azure, VMware, or Hyper-V is highly desirable. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Microsoft Certified: Systems Engineer are a plus. Ability to lead IT projects and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
