Senior IT Systems Engineer Contract | €300-€350/day | Cork A client of mine is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join their team in Cork. This role will focus on managing and supporting complex IT infrastructure systems, providing Level 3 support, and driving ongoing IT projects. Responsibilities: Provide Level 3 support for Windows-based server environments, including user management in Active Directory and Group Policy. Manage and support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. Oversee the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches). Assist with cloud migrations and Microsoft Azure configurations. Document and maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and support tickets. Lead IT projects such as server upgrades, storage solutions, and network enhancements. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure infrastructure stability and performance.Requirements: 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering. Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols. Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, or CCNA are highly desirable.
