A leading technology business in Galway, Ireland is seeking a seasoned Senior Java Engineer to join their engineering team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with a focus on Spring/Spring Boot, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, and Jenkins CI/CD. They will work closely with a team of software, embedded, electronics, testing, and application engineers to deliver projects and services for 2025 and 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test complex software systems using Java and associated technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and services
- Identify and resolve technical issues, and propose approaches to solutions
- Participate in the software development process, including Agile methodologies
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer
- Expertise in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, and Jenkins CI/CD
- Strong understanding of the software development process
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable Skills:
- Microservices architecture
- Secure coding and security techniques
- Automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, JMeter)
