**Dynamic Sr. Lead, Cloud Engineer with Emphasis in Automation, Networking, and Security Operations** We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to lead the development and implementation of cloud automation, networking, and security operations for our globally recognized financial institution. **About Northern Trust** Northern Trust is a Fortune 500 company with over 130 years of financial experience, serving the world's most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop infrastructure-as-code automation using Terraform to create IaC patterns and modules * Utilize modern software DevOps and CI/CD tooling to provision infrastructure resources and prevent configuration drift * Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless continuous integration of code and deployment * Investigate and resolve complex cloud infrastructure-related issues and recommend solutions * Participate in IT Service Management (ITSM) change, incident, and general requests for cloud platform support * Contribute to cloud operation disciplines and improve processes, such as OS lifecycle management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, certificate management **Cloud Networking Automation** * Manage firewall technologies such as Azure Front Door and Akamai WAF/CDN via automation * Possess networking fundamentals to identify root causes of application connectivity issues * Support cloud network security platforms and collaborate with tool vendors across WAF/CDN, DNS Management, and load balancing **Security Engineering** * Develop, implement, and enforce Policy-as-Code (PaC) for cloud environments (Azure, AWS) to configure, detect, remediate, and enforce security standards * Define and implement security policies based upon CIS/NIST industry benchmarks * Support remediation of security vulnerabilities using cloud posture management and ITSM tooling **Ideal Candidate** * University or college degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical fields * Prior technology experience * Proven experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, AWS) * Proven experience in cloud networking automation * Terraform Infrastructure as code automation experience * Strong passion for end-to-end DevOps automation via CI/CD pipelines
