In this role, you will have an opportunity to collaborate across teams, informing our business decisions, and creatively finding solutions to all of our scaling challenges.What you’ll do as a Senior Lead Software EngineerTake technical ownership for the design, development, maintenance, and testing strategy of the iGaming platform.Collaborate with business leads across the company to define milestones and deliverables on very short time frames for new functionality to be added to existing systems.You will be the first voice for the engineering organization on the systems your team owns.Lead your team in design sessions and ensure your team delivers high-quality work that aligns with DraftKings' engineering strategy.What you’ll bringExperience as the ‘expert’ on a development team where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features and management of those features.Solid experience with containerized microservices, auto-scaling, and managed infrastructures.Expertise with at least one object-oriented language like C# or Java.Strong relational database skills using technologies like MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.Familiarity with AWS services, Kubernetes, and on-premise servers.Ability to design systems and components and communicate that knowledge to other team members via tech plans and mentoring.Strong experience in incident handling and working in On-Call.Excellent troubleshooting skills, real-time decision making, and responsiveness to problem-solving that puts the customer experience first.Join Our TeamWe’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston.
