Senior Lead Software Engineer

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer in our iGaming vertical, you will help direct our engineering teams and influence our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take technical ownership for the design, development, maintenance, testing strategy of the iGaming platform.
  • Collaborate with business leads across the company to define milestones and deliverables on short time frames for new functionality to be added to existing systems.
  • Lead your team in design sessions and ensure your team delivers high-quality work that aligns with Draft Kings' engineering strategy.

Requirements:

  • Experience as the 'expert' on a development team where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features and management of those features.
  • Solid experience with containerized microservices, auto-scaling, and managed infrastructures.
  • Expertise with at least one object-oriented language like C# or Java.
  • Strong relational database skills using technologies like MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, Kubernetes, and on-premise servers.
  • Ability to design systems and components and, most importantly, communicate that knowledge to other team members via tech plans and mentoring.
  • Strong experience in incident handling and working in On-Call.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, real-time decision making, and responsiveness to problem-solving that put the customer experience first.
