#SETUW The Department of Social Care and Early Childhood is located in the School of Humanities, Waterford Campus, South East Technological University. The department delivers programmes in the area of social care, family and community support and early childhood. The person appointed will have responsibility for the overall management of the staff and academic activities within the Department. This includes the management and further development of the existing education programmes plus also the creation of appropriate new programmes, courses and modules (interdisciplinary, full-time, part-time and collaborative programmes including on line blended learning, bespoke work-based learning, CPD, masters etc.). The Head of Department is expected to further develop the research activities of the department including attracting more research students (full-time and part-time), greater research and innovation collaboration with industry, facilitating staff in the Department to become more research active.
