This includes analyzing exposures, determining appropriate coverage limits, and ensuring profitability across a diverse portfolio. **Key Responsibilities:** * Evaluate and underwrite liability risks, utilizing data analytics and underwriting software to support decision-making processes * Develop and refine technical policy wordings and endorsements to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with underwriting intent * Conduct detailed risk assessments, identifying potential exposures and recommending risk mitigation strategies * Manage a portfolio of liability accounts, monitoring performance, identifying trends, and taking proactive measures to optimize profitability and growth * Collaborate with brokers and agents, providing technical support and expertise * Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, providing strategic insights to the management team **Requirements:** * Extensive underwriting experience, with a proven track record in liability underwriting * Technical qualifications, such as ACII (Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute) or CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) qualification * Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed underwriting decisions * Proficiency in using underwriting software and data analytics tools * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders * Entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive and adaptable approach to identifying new opportunities and responding to market changes
