Flexsource are currently working with a nationwide composite material provider, in order to recruit a Senior Logistics Planner to add to their existing growing team.
Our client offers candidates the opportunity to join their organisation as a Senior Logistics Planner, responsible for asphalt products, servicing their road surfacing business units and our external customer base throughout Ireland.
- On the job learning, focused on processes and activities within the CP+A business unit and supply of concrete products from our manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities:
- Plan the most effective daily transport and delivery schedules for each manufacturing location.
- Lead a logistics team to manage our business process for order delivery, including customer service.
- Work closely with manufacturing location managers and batching teams to deliver effective production planning, understand location capacity, and product capability.
- Oversee process orders received via telephone, email, face-to-face, or Sales Team.
- Responsible for vehicle planning and allocation of fleet to locations to fulfil daily orders.
- Ensure all customer orders are delivered within agreed timeframes.
- Ensure ongoing effective communication with site teams, fleet, production locations, technical, and sales.
- Understand and achieve specific targets regarding utilisation of trucks, costs, and empty journeys.
- Work closely with dispatch teams to maximise the utilisation of trucks.
- Oversight on the delivery of the right products and material quantities to customers.
Skills Required:
1. 5+ years' experience working in a logistics or dispatch office.
- Strong knowledge of systems/detailed administration.
- Logistics experience within manufacturing would be beneficial.
- Supply Chain or Logistics third level qualification is desirable.
