Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and proactive Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team, focusing on the Starbucks business in both the Republic of Ireland (ROI) and Northern Ireland (NI). Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on role responsible for the month end process, including the preparation of store level management accounts, Balance Sheet controls and cost analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a tangible impact in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and full ownership of monthly management accounts for Starbucks (ROI & NI), including store level P&Ls.

Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are prepared and reconciled accurately and on a timely basis.

Review and analyse store performance and overhead spend.

Production of monthly accounts packs.

Assist with development of monthly board reporting pack.

Continually evaluate and optimise the monthly close and other finance processes.

Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

Support the annual audit process across various legal entities, including preparing statutory accounts.

Assist with, or assume responsibility for, other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Candidate Profile:

Qualified accountant with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage large volumes of transactions and meet tight deadlines.

Results-oriented with a proactive, "can-do" attitude, and a commitment to taking ownership of tasks.

Experience working in a multi-business, multi-location, or multi-entity organization.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment.

Willingness to challenge existing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong computer and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Experience in the food and beverage, leisure, or hospitality industries would be advantageous.
