Job Description

The Senior Manager Accounting will be responsible for management of the Inventory Accounting team based in Limerick in connection with the Company’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Limerick and International entities.A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:Reporting of monthly actual results for inventory for the international entitiesResponsible for Profit in Inventory Elimination for international entitiesReviewing and handling the company’s inventory and standard cost system including annual standards' developmentReviewing and maintaining company’s inventory and standard cost system Oracle Process ManufacturingWorking with Master Data Management to ensure production Recipes / BOM’s are accurate and are reflected in the Standard Costing calculationsReviewing Sub Ledger (Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Revaluation, Order Management)Responsible for coordination and review of quarterly inventory reservesAssisting with all audit requests from internal and external auditorsCollaborating closely with the company’s corporate accounting department (monthly, quarterly close)Verifying accuracy of reports produced by team and monthly financial resultsDriving consistency and standardization of cost accounting in line with Corporate PoliciesWorking closely with IT on the maintenance of Accounting Derivation Rules (ADR) to ensure transactions post accuratelyCollaborating closely with Regeneron’s corporate and Rensselaer accounting departmentsReviewing monthly Project AccountingReviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Inventory accountsAssisting in developing and improving internal controls and written policies and procedures as well as ensuring all accurate internal controls are in place in conformity with Sarbanes OxleyThis Role Might Be For You If:You are a self-starter with the ability to operate in a multifaceted environment, able to work on your own initiative and within a team environmentYou have strong organisational and project management abilities and demonstrate good attention to detailYou have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyYou have excellent written and verbal communications skillsYou have strong analytical skillsYou have the ability to own responsibilities and processes and to adapt to changing circumstancesYou have experience with ERP financial applications, Oracle applications a distinct advantageYou have a high proficiency with Microsoft applications (sophisticated Microsoft Excel knowledge is a necessity)To be considered for this position you must hold a professional accountancy qualification with 10+ years post qualification experience. A minimum of 5 years people management experience is a requirement. Experience ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment. Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Knowledge of Oracle Systems a distinct advantage.
