Your Role: The `Senior Manager - Finance Risk and Assurance? will manage and support a small team (1 FTE) and will be responsible for running of the Finance Risk and Control Function. The role holder will support the Finance Function in ensuring compliance with the requirements the Internal Control Framework (ICF), Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and other Bank Risk policies. They will have overall responsibility for monitoring and testing of the effectiveness of the Finance control environment and will provide independent assurance to the Finance Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and wider Bank Management as to the performance of the Function. The role holder will act as a key liaison between Finance as a first line of defence (1LoD), second line of defence Risk functions (2LoD) and Group Internal Audit (GIA) functions, producing and providing best in class insights to various SLT, Exco and Board fora. The successful candidate will sit on relevant Bank wide Risk and Assurance committees and communities of practice groups, ensuring consistency in approach to first line Risk and Assurance across the Bank. Your Responsibilities: Functional Strategy & Delivery Support and manage the delivery of a risk assured, service oriented, performance focused, operationally excellent Finance Risk and Assurance function while embedding a culture of quality service delivery to all customers & stakeholders Oversee the control environment for the Finance division and the individual finance function's compliance with Internal Control Framework (ICF), Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and other Bank Risk Policies. (Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, External Reporting, Business Partnering and Central Data Office) Risk Management & Control Own and continually review and update the Finance Divisional Control Framework, and work to embed a risk mindset across the Bank's Finance Function. Manage the Finance Divisional Risk Committee and reporting on key risk items to Finance SLT and the broader 1LoD Risk and Assurance functions with the Bank. Lead an inspiring Culture Support the implementation of initiatives that emerge from the Staff Surveys to enhance the working environment for the team; Lead the values of the organization acting as a strong role model for the team; Stakeholder Engagement Create and present well written and effective business cases for the acquisition of new solutions or resources; Ensure that periodic reports are optimized, delivered on time with relevant updates and high accuracy; Requirements: Essential Technical knowledge of IFRS, CRR, Companies Act, Central Bank & ECB reporting requirements; Knowledge of asset and liability management, treasury function; Holds a relevant accounting qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA) and has relevant post qualification experience working in a Finance Function or audit/review of a Finance function; Solid understanding of best practice financial processes/ systems and proven track record to lead the development of same; Demonstrated capability to think and operate strategically and translate those strategies into simple execution plans. A sound understanding of what is required to deliver operational excellence is also important;
