We are looking for a high-performing, meticulous and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of audit professionals, driving thought leadership and innovation in audit quality and risk management. The Opportunity The PPG team is crucial to our quality and growth agendas. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen these agendas and build their skillset in technical audit matters, including the latest digital audit techniques, while developing an understanding of EY's audit methodology and risk management policies. PPG supports audit quality and effective risk management within the Assurance Service Line. You will help PPG provide our client engagement teams with support and advice to deliver the highest quality services and manage the associated risks. Your key responsibilities This role places you at the heart of a high-performing, agile team committed to helping clients and stakeholders. Key functions will include: Reviewing and approving internal procedures for client and engagement acceptanceSupporting teams on in-depth technical audit queries, including formal consultationsSupporting teams in other assurance reporting, such as ISAE 3000, ISRS 4400Owning and implementing ISQM 1 assurance controlsAssisting PPG with internal and external inspectionsIdentifying and driving forward audit quality initiativesImproving the overall process of audit systems maintenanceCommunicating key updates regarding changes in methodology and policySupporting audit teams with board reports, engagement letters, and other audit templatesAdhering to EY's risk management policies and quality agendaWorking on ad hoc projects as they arise To qualify for the role, you must have CAI/ACCA (or equivalent international qualification)A minimum of five years’ post qualification experience working as an auditorStrong project management and technical auditing skillsAbility to be solutions-focusedGood communication skillsStrong knowledge of ISAsPassion for developing knowledge of leading auditing techniquesExperience dealing with C-suite level executives Ideally, you will also have Strong deadline management skillsDecisive engagement style to support audit teamsKnowledge of reporting under Irish GAAP, IFRS, and Irish regulationsExisting digital auditing experienceProficiency in MS Office programs, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience in Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) What working at EY offers We offer a competitive remuneration package, including flexible working and career development.
