PTSB is one of Ireland's leading retail and SME banks, with an innovative range of products and services powered through an evolving digital landscape, our focus is centred on ensuring we deliver what our customers, colleagues and communities need to be successful. ** Your Role: The Senior Manager - Regulatory Reporting Interpretation will lead a team responsible for the ongoing analysis and interpretation of new and existing regulatory requirements for the Finance function. The role holder will be responsible for advising the Finance Function on regulatory interpretation via relevant forums in the Bank. This will also include implementing best practice, on-going review of efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory methodologies, engagement 2nd and 3rd Line functions, ensuring adherence to internal standards and that Regulatory Interpretation and Reporting is compliant with the Bank's Regulatory Reporting Policy. Your Responsibilities: Functional Strategy & Delivery Work with your fellow Senior Managers and Heads of Function to develop a best-in-class Regulatory Reporting Function in the Bank, acting as a partner to the Regulatory Reporting team, ensuring that the team are fully informed of new and existing regulatory interpretation changes as required. Assist the broader function on regulatory interpretation for Liquidity, Capital and Financial Interpretation for future planning purposes. Risk Management & Control Ensure a firm understanding of the risk landscape across in scope regulations and processes; Maintain the in scope control environment ensuring the controls are fit for purpose, aligned to internal standards and regulatory requirements and seek to enhance and automate where possible Lead an inspiring Culture Support the implementation of initiatives that emerge from the Staff Surveys to enhance the working environment for the team Lead the values of the organization acting as a strong role model for the team; Stakeholder Engagement Manage key internal stakeholder relationships, including the Regulatory Compliance teams, to ensure all relevant and appropriate legislation and guidelines pertaining to Liquidity Regulatory Reporting are identified, monitored and tracked; Engage and develop relationships with the three lines of defence on technical regulatory reporting matters and ensure that correct context for Regulatory Reporting issues is communicated to key Bank governance forums; Requirements: Essential Technical knowledge of CRR, Companies Act, Central Bank & ECB reporting requirements; Knowledge of asset and liability management, treasury function and accounting; Solid understanding of best practice financial processes/ systems and proven track record to lead the development of same; Demonstrated capability to think and operate strategically and translate those strategies into simple execution plans. A sound understanding of what is required to deliver operational excellence is also important; Sound commercial acumen and excellent communication skills both verbal and written; Excellent leadership skills, shows initiative and courage to challenge the status quo and to remove barriers to change
