Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor required to manage financial aspects of residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Meath/Louth/North Dublin, ensuring projects are completed within budget and in line with contractual obligations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential and commercial construction projects, with experience in PQS and main contracting, and proficiency with Bills of Quantities.
Key responsibilities include preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts, overseeing procurement processes, assessing project costs, and conducting financial reporting.
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, as well as a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Salary: €80 K - €100 K + Package (DOE)
Reports To: Commercial Manager
- Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and award.
- Assess project costs and provide value engineering options.
- Manage subcontractor payments, valuations, and variations.
- Conduct financial reporting and ensure project profitability.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager, site teams, and clients to provide cost control advice.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Handle dispute resolution, final accounts, and cost reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6+ years experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction projects.
- Experience in PQS and main contracting.
- Proficiency with Bills of Quantities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
