Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Summary: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer required to manage Data Centre projects in EMEA, overseeing project delivery from conception to completion, mentoring a team of engineers, and ensuring high-quality deliverables align with quality assurance systems.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will lead Data Centre projects in EMEA, managing project delivery from conception to completion, client handover, and team performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing relations with accounts, expanding expertise beyond mechanical to Electrical, BMS/EPMS, Security, and CSA.
- Project design planning to meet client expectations, managing a team of support engineers, and mentoring them in their professional development.
- Ensuring all deliverables from the team align with quality assurance systems prior to handover.
About You:
- 7+ years' experience with data centre, industrial, or high-tech projects.
- Deep understanding of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN Standards.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Auto Cad, and REVIT, with experience of engineering analysis software an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical services design on projects from concept stage to completion.
- Specifying and designing mechanical building services systems.
- Providing fully detailed tender packages and tender reports.
- Mentoring of engineering staff.
