Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required for a successful Manufacturing company in County Monaghan, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
A successful Manufacturing company based in County Monaghan are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a good knowledge and experience within the industry to join their team.
This is a great opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills within manufacturing, working on complex technical problems and transforming and implementing manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying engineering principals to solve complex problems with little or no guidance
- Identifying and working through multi-disciplinary complex technical problems independently
- Developing new designs from initial concept to implementation and improving existing designs
- Working with sales team to visit customer sites to confirm customers equipment requirements
- Implementation and maintenance of Lean systems for production process
- Work closely with our production team during the manufacturing process
- Creation of SOPs and production tutorials
- Document designs with solid part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in Autodesk inventor
- Verify designs using traditional analytical methods in conjunction with dynamic and finite element analysis software
- Assess and implement continuous improvement for production process
- Create and maintain complete machine product structures including bills of materials, Models and Options, and service parts information
- Advise sales partners on after sales service of equipment and offer maintenance training
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in machine design or related industry
- Strong orientation towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Proficient with solid modelling (Autodesk inventor preferred) and PC skills including Excel and Word
- Ability to effectively lead project teams and utilize resources to produce optimal results
- Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Design, Hydraulic Systems, or Electrical Systems
- Demonstrated experience leading projects; can develop project schedules and execute to plan
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
